Normal vs Red Flag
Know the difference between healing and a problem.
Normal
- · Bruising that spreads down with gravity
- · Asymmetric swelling that shifts day to day
- · Tightness, itching, zings as nerves wake up
- · Low-grade fatigue for the first 1–2 weeks
Red flag
- · Fever above 101.5°F (38.6°C)
- · Sudden one-sided swelling, especially calf
- · Foul drainage, expanding redness, hot to touch
- · Chest pain, shortness of breath — call 911
